Types of door pull up bars

There are a couple of types of these door pull up bars. There is this style that goes on the door jamb and pushes into the door frame. These ones are great because they can generally handle more weight. They also have a large variety of grip holds to use. This means you can add a lot of variety to your training and workout more muscle areas effectively. Although you may wish to add some more padding so that the door frame doesn’t get damage while you’re using it. Especially important if you are renting your property and want to reduce the chance of damage.

The other type goes between the frame and pushes outwards, called a telescopic pull up bar. These are generally only good for people who are lighter as they can slide out with too much weight. However this one comes with little mounts to put on your door frame if you are heavier and able to alter your door frame.
